Ischia

Il Focolare: this restaurant is an extremely popular destination on the island of Ischia.

I highly recommend before you arrive that you make reservations a few weeks in advance. Depending on where you stay, you take a long windy ride to the top of a mountain. once you arrive, there is a bit of a language barrier so I suggest you just eat whatever they serve you. We recognized that's what the two other tables were doing next to us, so we just said that we would eat anything. I was a bit nervous, but everything was absolutely incredible.

as for main dishes, we got to order whatever we wanted, but I was so full from all of the appetizers that Nicholas and I just shared a main dish. The wine that they serve is absolutely incredible and they will take you to their very old underground wine cellar that they use.

Ischia is the island of rabbits so most restaurants serve that as a main dish  (fair warning !) but I didn't touch that so I was completely fine eating everything else!

hotel mezzatorre: talk about the perfect honeymoon destination. You have a quiet hotel, a private beach Cove, amazing food, incredibly attentive staff, and most of the other couples there are honeymoon as well ha ha! I would 100% go back to this hotel because of its quaintness. The island of ischia is very large, but the corner where this hotel is located is so romantic.  make sure to wake up for the buffet breakfast because it's amazing and then the club sandwich at the hotel Nicholas rated the best one he's ever had!

The hotel offers volcanic thermal baths, and it was really fun to do as a couple  !

A little hint, if you are at the beach club and facing the ocean paddle out past the cove a little bit and turn left, you will find a man-made staircase to go cliff jumping. We spent about three hours just hanging out and Cliff jumping, it was so much fun. Didn't see anyone else doing it.
