SURFRIDER HOTEL -
One of the cutest boutique hotels I’ve ever come across. Located right across from the malibu pier, this hotel offers the perfect weekend getaway malibu experience. Surfboards, an outdoor shower, the most beautiful rooftop, and so much more, you will have the best time staying here. Be sure to catch sunset on the rooftop and order “the endless summer” margarita (if coconut is your thing !)
MALIBU BEACH INN -
Luxury in Malibu ! Stay at this hotel located directly on the water and experience Malibu the best way possible ! I highly suggest staying here if you are craving a gorgeous balcony view with great staff and a yummy dining experience.
FOOD:
TAVERNA TONY -
Greek in Malibu ! This is Nicholas and I’s favorite date night spot. Order the “Lil Zeus” martini to start your experience off strong and do not avoid the bread and dip. It is life changing ! It’s really important to make a reservation here as it can get PACKED. Be sure to request an outdoor table. Order the vegetarians paradise – includes all the yummy dips. Everything is pretty large portion so sharing is the best way to go !! The chocolate cake for dessert if you have room (which you won’t but make room for it !!)
CAFE HABANA - Spicy Margaritas anyone !? This restaurant is a Malibu classic. It’s got super cute outdoor dining and it’s great for lunch or dinner. I order the fish tacos or the salmon tacos (both delicious!
NOBU - Of course if you are in Malibu I highly recommend stopping by Nobu Malibu to really get a fun experience. It’s the best people watching you can get !!! Aside from the sushi tasting incredible, I always tell people if they want to go to Nobu but don’t want to break the bank, grab a cocktail at the bar and then head to a different restaurant for dinner ! The bar scene is indoor/outdoor and its super fun.
LILYS - The post-surf burrito. Enough said. Order online 30 minutes before you arrive and you will have the best breakfast of your life. Make sure to ask for the salsa on the side and order a Horchata. Best one I’ve ever had.
MALIBU BREWING - If you’re looking for a quick place to grab a bite to eat, head to this brewery and order a beer and burger.
LE CAFE DE LA PLAGE - Coffee and pastries anyone !?
JOHNS GARDEN - If you are shopping in the Malibu Mart and are craving a sandwich or salad, stop by here! Also known for their smoothies.
TRA DI NOI - Italian – yum ! This restaurant is actually my favorite for lunch time only. They have a window that you can order from and it’s the best ! Gnocchi, Caesar salad, or Pizza are my favorites!
MALIBU BEACH PIER CAFÉ - Of course you will walk the pier when you are in Malibu. My favorite is grabbing breakfast at the restaurant towards the end of the pier literally on top of the water with the perfect view of all of the surfers. Coffee and Iced tea are my favorites here. However, they do have an outdoor bar on the weekends – very aesthetic and yummy !
THE REEL INN, MALIBU - If you are driving along PCH and happen to see a big sign that says “THE REEL INN”, you will also see a catchy phrase (see image below). This is a great place to quickly stop at when you want fish and beer !
